Who is this course for?
The Assistant Mental Health Lead is a role that supports a Designated Mental Health Lead in schools or colleges.
This one-day course helps train and prepare those who will be supporting the Designated Mental Health Lead. Suitable for non-teaching, admin, support staff, or teachers.
Course Overview
This one-day course is designed to provide an overview of the types of activities that an Assistant Mental Health Lead may undertake. Training therefore introduces the coverage of the role and some of the tasks that they may be asked to undertake.
The role of the Mental Health Lead is wide and covers both mental health and wellbeing, so provision for 100% of pupils, not only those experiencing difficulties, in addition to considering the support available for staff (to help ensure that they are in the right place for them to be able to support the wellbeing of staff.


About the course contents
This course is split into ten 10-15 minute video-based lessons.
Online learners self-study 10-15 minute videos to work through the contents. You are set reflective and self-study activities by the tutor to facilitate the learning and are expected to work through these to complete the modules.
There is no assessment and attendees gain a certificate of attendance.

Through this website you will be able to view pre-recorded trainer videos. Modules are split into 10-15 minute videos so that you can work through them with a cuppa at your own pace. You are able to download the digital materials through the website and work through the workbook as you watch the videos and complete the activities set by the trainer.
Cost
